CMA National Conference

One of our goals is to bring people and organizations together in support of the museum field and society at-large. We are modernizing our conferences to ensure they are as relevant as possible and are currently planning for a virtual national conference kicking off May 3, 2021, with an in-person element if it is possible. The virtual conference will involve a number of sessions per week over the course of two to three weeks. In addition to these sessions, the conference will also include our Directors’ Symposium, 2021 Awards Ceremony and Annual General Meeting.

The theme for CMA2021 is Moving forward , inspired by our President’s call for greater solidarity, connectedness and social responsibility to propel the museum sector ahead. CMA2021 will be a unique opportunity to bring Canada’s diverse museum community together for the best in professional development, networking and collaboration. CMA2021 promises to be an occasion to focus on the most timely and relevant issues of today and, at the same time, address the practical issues we face in our work.
