Job Description

We are excited to offer an employment opportunity for an organized, positive, and detail-oriented individual interested in an administrative position in the heritage and culture sector.

Reporting to the Executive Director / CEO, the basic duties of the position include:
o Coordinate service contracts, facilities, and office supplies.
o Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
o Database management in support of the AMA’s programs, activities, and services.
o Coordinate publication sales and inventory management.
o Administrative support for the Executive Director.
o Provide reception services.
o Program administrative support.

Qualifications / Competencies:
o Applicable certificate, diploma, or degree.
o Experience working as an office administrator.
o Strong database and financial administration experience.
o Extensive experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
o Good communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
o Confidentiality and discretion.
o A passion for museums and heritage and a commitment to the AMA’s values.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment.
o Flexible and adaptable with a sense of humour.

Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Hours and Compensation Package: 37.5 hours per week. Compensation package includes annual salary of $40,000-45,000, access to benefits program and professional development funds.
