Clarington Museums and Archives is currently seeking highly motivated individuals with an interest in the preservation, exhibition and interpretation of local history for the summer position of Summer Grounds Assistant. To create and maintain our historical gardens, paying special care and attention to our rose gardens. Our program co-ordinator, executive director and head of the gardening committee will oversee the student with weekly meetings and will help to provide direction on what standards are expected on a daily basis. Maintaining historically accurate gardens, as we have two period specific buildings with gardens to reflect that. Creation of annual gardens and maintenance of existing historical gardens, small vegetable and herb garden to be maintained. We have all necessary health and safety information posted on our bulletin board, and a elected health and safety representative. We provide all necessary training at orientation. Equipment is regularly checked.
