Do you want to be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic team that thrives on creating cool experiences for both students and teachers? If so, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. The Staff Scientist – Education will be a key member of the Education and Northern Programs team, leading and supporting programs and initiatives designed to achieve the unit’s objectives and strategic goals. The Staff Scientist will lead the development and implementation of coding e-workshops and coding specialty programs for students at both the elementary and secondary level. They will also be involved in planning coding programs teachers, as well as developing online educator resources. The successful candidate will have a degree in applied science (coding), or a bachelor of education; strong program development and delivery experience; superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and an ability to multi-task; extensive knowledge of the Ontario curriculum as well as demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships and fully engage educators and students. Fluency in French will be considered an asset. The position requires the ability to work full- time hours with some evening/weekend work and limited travel.
