Clarington Museums and Archives is currently seeking highly motivated individuals with an interest in the preservation, exhibition and interpretation of local history for the summer position of Summer Event and Hospitality Assistant. Creating menus and preparing meals for special events, planning special events under the direction of the program co-ordinator. Following health and safety protocols when preparing food. Our program co-ordinator will oversee this student with weekly meetings and will help to create the events and menus within our standards of practice on a daily basis. We have all necessary health and safety information posted on our bulletin board, and an elected health and safety representative. We provide all necessary training at orientation. Equipment is regularly checked. Student will help run the "Edwardian Teas" and other events during the summer that would involve preparing menus, preparing meals and event organization. Heritage events, the "Edwardian Teas" are linked with an historical tour of our period specific home on our grounds. Many events take place in this location, other events held would be linked to our locally inspired exhibits.
