Join the team at the East Coulee School Museum for a fun and interesting summer! Enlighten tourists of the history and stories of the Coal Mining Days of the Drumheller Valley! Use your unique personality to enrich each program. Interpreters also help in the gift shop and café, as well as some light housekeeping. Everyone at the museum helps in the café to feed the hungry tourists!!! The role of the Historic Teacher is played in character as a 1936 teacher from the coal mining era. The major role for the summer would be Interpreter, the Teacher role being employed with group bookings. The Interpreter can at times be played “In Character”! We need positive, enthusiastic individuals with great communication skill and a love of learning. If you are self-motivated and can do what needs to be done and do it – we are looking for you! We are looking for post-secondary students that are returning to school in the fall. A background in history, museum studies, education, drama or tourism is an asset. A valid driver’s license is a must, as there is no public transportation. A car is an asset as we are located 15 minutes outside of Drumheller proper. A second language is an asset. We thrive on diversity! Job starts May 6 till Sept 2 Wages $17.00/hr Number of positions – 1
