Job Description
The Estevan Art Gallery & Museum (EAGM) is looking for an energetic individual to assist in creating advances in the dissemination of curatorial theory and further knowledge of contemporary and history Indigenous life in southeast Saskatchewan. This will include an introduction to the day-to-day responsibilities of a Curator, including the organisation of exhibitions from research, writing, selection of works, arranging loans, supervising catalogue production, and designing and supervising installation of exhibitions to preparing publicity and curatorial packages.
The Curatorial Intern will also play a key role in the acquisition, de-accession, storage, and exhibitions of works of art and collections, and will work closely with the Director/Curator in all aspects of the position's duties and responsibilities. The successful candidate will primarily work alongside the Director/Curator to obtain local Indigenous oral histories and use them to develop displays in the museum.
