Job Description
The Education/Public Programs Assistant supports the WDM in achieving its public trust responsibilities through comprehensive and dynamic learning programs for diverse audiences. Assisting in achieving the outcomes of the Education/Public Programs Unit, the Education/Public Programs Assistant supports the Coordinator in ensuring unit staff, programs, and resources are aligned with the WDM’s Ends and strategic goals. The Education/Public Programs Assistant also works in collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator.
The Education/Public Programs Assistant is responsible for:
• Planning and administration/supervision of weekend educational programming.
• Planning and coordinating special events such as Christmas and Halloween programming for schools and the public.
• Assisting in the supervision of program support staff and volunteers and other related activities.
• Assisting teachers and groups in planning, coordinating, and managing museum visits
