The City of Moncton is currently accepting applications from students for the position of Program Leader with Resurgo Place. Knowledge of the history, geography and culture of Greater Moncton would be an asset. This position reports to the Heritage Development Officer-Programming and the Education Coordinator.
The Student Program Leader provides guided tours of Resurgo Place, as well as assisting in the preparation and delivery of other programs pertaining to permanent and temporary exhibitions. In addition, the Student Program Leader will assist the Heritage Development Officer-Programming with the organization of special events and outreach programming. Responsibilities will include assisting in planning workshops for children, families and the general public. The position will require self-motivation, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work individually or in a team environment.
Education: High School, College or University students. Must be fluently bilingual. Workplace Standard First Aid is an asset.
Hours of work: Hours are available on Saturdays (9:15 am – 5:15 pm), Sundays (11:15 am – 5:15 pm) and the last Thursday of each month (5:00pm – 8:15pm), with the possibility of additional hours during the course of a week.
