The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering building development projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager and Executive Director, Facilities and Capitalization.
The incumbent will assist with planning, will support administrative requirements such as the preparation and recording of agendas, meeting minutes, field observation reports, contract administration, deficiency reviews and documentation, commissioning reports and sponsorship requirements
The standard weekly hours are: SWW 37.50 Hrs (5 days consecutive Mon. - Fri.)
Education and Experience: As an ideal candidate, you hold a Degree or Diploma in Architectural Sciences, Civil Engineering or Project/Construction Management.
You also have experience in the following areas: - three (3) to five (5) years experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of development projects; - direct experience as project coordinator for renovation and fit-up projects which include renovation to interior mechanical and electrical systems, and the installation of specialty fit-up requirements.
RATED REQUIREMENTS Knowledge: - knowledge of the building development/redevelopment industry; - familiarity with construction methods and the building codes.
Abilities: - proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera, MS Office Suite of products and AutoCad; - effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills; - proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment; - demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities; - strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
