CMA National Conference 2023 was inspired by and in support of the CMA’s Moved to Action report, which centres the activation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) in Canadian museum practice.

CMA National Conference 2022 was two virtual days of discussion and actionable advice to help organizations advance Truth and Reconciliation, act sustainably, build relationships with diverse communities, and develop new ways of thinking and doing.

How has the pandemic changed the way audiences engage with museums, and the way museums engage with their audiences? How can digital tools enhance the visitor experience and help museums transition through what comes next?
This session was presented by the Canadian Museums Association and the Art Gallery of Ontario in partnership with Lee Groves Consulting. We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

Moving Forward
One of our goals was to bring people and organizations together in support of the museum field and society at-large. The theme for CMA 2021 was Moving Forward , a call for greater solidarity, connectedness and social responsibility to propel the museum sector ahead.
