Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Boutique’s Assistant Supervisor assists in ensuring the high quality of bilingual customer service both in the Boutique and in the Satellite Store. The Assistant Supervisor also sells merchandise to maximize revenues, ensures that operational requirements are met, and enhances the experience of visitors to The National Gallery of Canada. You will be responsible for overseeing and processing sales and customer-service related activities, opening and closing operations, and assisting the Operations Manager with the orientation of agency staff on a daily basis. You will also assist with the merchandising of all products, maintaining inventory integrity, and general upkeep of the Boutique. You will act on behalf of the Operations Manager during extended hours of operation, holidays, at all times when the Operations Manager is not available, by fulfilling all related duties
