Characteristics of City / Region
Ouje Bougoumou is located in Northern Quebec, about 700 miles north of Montreal and just north of the touristic Lac St Jean region. Ouje Bougoumou is a Cree First Nations community which is part of Eeyou Istchee. English is the principle language spoken in this community, followed by Cree and French. Public transport links exist close to Ouje Bougoumou connecting to Montreal (bus, air). Chibougamau is the nearest urban centre, with a variety of shopping venues. Access to a vehicle and a driving license are not essential but there is no public transportation between Ouje-Bougoumou and Chibougamau or Chapais so incumbents without a personal vehicle should expect to use taxi services for shopping or other activities.
We thank everyone that applies, but only the chosen candidates for an interview will be contacted.
