Job Description

The Legislative Assembly Service of Saskatchewan (LAS) exists to support and enhance parliamentary democracy and the Legislative Assembly for the benefit of the people of Saskatchewan.

Summary about the Branch:
• Visitor Services provides tours of the Legislative Building to the public, as well as educational programs and public events
• Visitor Services works to develop interest in the Legislative Building and Assembly by offering superior programming for all peoples.

Summary about the position:
• Responsible for administrative and office management functions for Branch
• Assist Manager with educational and public program organization, delivery, and administration
• Assist in development of program collateral (brochures, signs, etc.)
• Supervise information officers and delivery of associated programs
• Research as necessary for program development and delivery

Summary of job qualifications:
• Administrative knowledge, including arranging bookings, scheduling, and general office administration
• Program organization, administration, and supervision, including coordination from development to delivery, correspondence, and logistical support
• Supervision and employee training experience
• Problem solving
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including for presentation
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in and ability to provide exemplary service to all clients and visitors
• Business or Administration Diploma, or University Degree
• Background in education, history, and/or cultural tourism an asset
• French bilingualism an asset
