Manager, Conservation and Preservation
Permanent Full-Time Position

The Canadian Museum of History is looking for an experienced Manager, Conservation and Preservation to join our Collections Management and Conservation Division. Reporting to the Director, Collections Management and Conservation, your key responsibilities will include:
• Contribute to the effective management and operations of Canadian Museum of History collections conservation by overseeing the activities of conservation staff and supervises staff, contractors, interns and volunteers;
• Provide operational planning and ensure the application of the museum’s conservation and preservation strategies and objectives for the National Collection(s), including the review and/or creation of policies, standards, processes and procedures;
• Develop contacts and provide leadership and expertise for all technical aspects relating to the care and preservation of collections.
Education Requirements: Masters of Conservation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation Level: $79,043- $109,148 (Job classification : EE8)
