Job Description:

 

Reporting to the Director and CEO of the Gallery, the Director, Human Resources is a key member of the Gallery’s Senior Management Team, and as a business partner, provides counsel and advice to Senior Managers, and provides leadership to a team of six human resource professionals and Volunteer Coordinator. The Director, Human Resources oversees a wide range of programs, specifically, you will be accountable for providing strategic direction and leadership for the delivery of HR policies, programs and services, HR planning and data analytics, organizational design, job classification, employee relations, labour relations, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, workplace health, safety and wellness, compensation and benefits, HR systems, employment equity and official languages. This role includes labour relations oversight for approximately 244 unionized employees under two different unions. This role will also develop a collaborative working relationship with both local and national union stakeholders. The Director, Human Resources exemplifies and models the values, ethics and culture of the Gallery to influence the behaviour of all employees.
