Job Summary: Under the direction of the Museum Executive Director, the Marketing and Communications Administrator prepares and administers marketing, communicationg and advertising campaigns. She/he organizes special events and functions such as media events, dedication ceremonies and private functions. She/he prepares communication vehicles, such as media releases, advisories, public announcements, backgrounders, media response lines and web content. The Marketing and Communications Administrator conducts large tour group visits and responds to general enquiries from the media and the public seeking information.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field AND some years of experience in public relations or in a related field OR College diploma or certificate in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field AND several years of experience in public relations or in a related field OR An acceptable combination of education, training and experience will also be considered
Language requirement: English Essential
Experience Requirements: In developing community partnerships In drafting marketing, communication and advertising campaigns In website and social media content creation In preparing draft documents, papers and press releases In media relations In organizing events In applying policies, procedures, and regulations
