Job Description:

 

The Day Camp Counsellor creates a fun and safe environment in which children are inspired and informed about agriculture
and agricultural history at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum. The Counsellor performs and interprets some of the
daily activities on the farm (e.g. cow washing, grain grinding) for day campers and brings camp activities to life through songs,
games, crafts and strong leadership skills.

The standard weekly hours are: variable for students

Education and Experience:
As an ideal candidate, you are a college or university student.
You also have previous interpretation, education or theatrical experience in museums, parks, tourism, schools and/or related
fields. Also required is experience working with children. Farm experience and large animal handling experience are
considered as assets.
