Eontract period begins immediately and goes until March 31, 2021

Are you passionate about getting students interested in science, particularly coding? Do you like traveling and are interested in seeing more of northern Ontario? Are you always looking for new adventures and enjoy a fast paced work environment that is always changing? If this describes you, then you could join the Outreach team at Science North! The Outreach Science Communicators will be key members of the Education and Northern Programs team, delivering public outreach programs to people of all ages across northern Ontario. The successful candidates will present science and technology concepts to youth and other audiences in libraries and other community based centres. These positions require strong communications skills, a willingness to travel, the ability to stay organized while on the road, experience in delivering programming to varied audiences, and good interpersonal skills. Candidates should have a degree in applied science and/or education (or equivalent experience). While fluency in English is essential, fluency in French would be considered as an asset. The successful candidates will have the ability to work full-time hours with some evening/weekend work.
