Job Description

CMA is seeking a dynamic, experienced and bilingual person to administer the CMA membership database, awards program, bursary program and to assist with conference registration. The Membership Services Officer plays a vital role in the administration of our CMA membership services.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and process CMA Membership data;
  • Respond to emails/ phone calls regarding CMA Membership (bilingual);
  • Execute daily ongoing maintenance of our membership database;
  • Maintain a good public relationship with members;
  • Assist the manager in membership recruitment;
  • Process annual bilingual renewals;
  • Process general member administration and services;
  • Provide reception for both office and telephone, receive incoming mail and shipments and coordinate outgoing;
  • Provide general administrative support as required;
  • Administer the various CMA awards programs, including responding to enquiries and receipt of all awards, coordination of juries, preparation of awards and coordination of awards presentations;
  • Administer the bursary program including identification of eligible learning; activities/opportunities, responding to all enquiries, processing applications received, maintaining database and providing data reports to assist with PCH reporting;
  • Provide general administrative support as required;
  • Participates in meetings, as required;
  • Conducts research and produces reports for various stakeholders (Excel);
  • Receive, register and maintain CMA Conference registrations (seasonal);
  • Respond to emails/ phone calls regarding CMA Conference (bilingual);
  • Assist in conference logistic planning and organizing (seasonal).

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in delivering high quality member services at a national level, preferably in a non-profit association;
  • Experience with managing registrations for conferences would be highly desirable;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and able to multitask;
  • High degree of proficiency in data processing, preferably using a membership database;
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Access, and a membership database (in1touch preferably);
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members, management and surroundings;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small professional team;
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written, in French and English;
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills;
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or administration and/or equivalent experience;
  • Some knowledge of financial accounting principles would be desirable;
  • Experience working in a professional association environment working in member services would be an asset.

Salary: The CMA offers a flexible work environment, a great benefit package and an annual salary starting at $30,500.
