The St. Albert Heritage Sites is looking for an enthusiastic individual who demonstrates good leadership, has strong organizational and communication skills and enjoys working with people of all ages. The heritage buildings include two provincially designated grain elevators, a two-roomed schoolhouse as well as a log house, two restored homes and a granary on two river lots.

The Lead Interpreter will work as part of a team leading pre-booked school programs, planning special events and providing informative, engaging tours of the heritage buildings and historic sites. Ideal candidates will have:
• Background in history, museum studies, agriculture, education or performing arts
• Excellent communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Collaborative skills to work in a team environment
• Experience interacting with children
• Experience leading a team or project
• Current First Aid Certificate
This position is pending Young Canada Works grant funding. Candidates should review the eligibility criteria before applying, and be registered with the Young Canada Works on line inventory.
