Job Description

Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for writing and editing? Do you want to help ensure the Alberta Museums Association (AMA)’s communications are timely, relevant and on brand? Do you thrive in organizations that are team based and highly collaborative?

Working with the Communications Lead, the basic duties of the position include:
o Draft Program Communications
o Edit, proofread, and copy edit Program Communications
o Distribution of Program Communications
o Distribution and maintenance of online communications
o Work with Communications Lead on print and design requests
o Administration for annual Conference communications and promotional materials

Qualifications / Competencies:
o University degree / certificate / diploma in a related field
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Good organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
o A passion for museums and heritage and a commitment to the AMA’s values
o Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment
o Flexible and adaptable with a sense of humour

Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Hours and Compensation Package: term position until March 31, 2020, 37.5 hours per week. Compensation package includes access to benefits program and professional development opportunities.
